The call for enrollment in the A.Y. 2025-2026 is now available together with a summary of deadlines and obligations.
Please note that starting from the 2025/2026 academic year, pending the completion of the authorization process, the name of the study program is expected to change to “Biotechnology for Industry and Health” (Class LM-8 R – Industrial Biotechnology). All information, including the teaching schedule, will be available on the program’s continuously updated website.
ADMISSION PROCEDURE FOR THE MASTER’S DEGREE PROGRAM IN BIOTECHNOLOGY – A.Y. 2025/2026
To verify curricular requirements, students intending to enroll in the Master’s Degree Program in Biotechnology must submit an online application.
The application process will be open during three specific periods:
- FIRST PERIOD: January 23, 2025 – April 30, 2025
Non-EU applicants requiring a visa may apply ONLY during this period.
- SECOND PERIOD: April 22, 2025 – December 31, 2025
- THIRD PERIOD: February 2, 2026 – March 31, 2026
The second and third periods are reserved exclusively for Italian students, EU students, and non-EU students who are legally residing in Italy.
INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS RESIDING ABROAD AND REQUIRING A STUDY VISA
International applicants interested in enrolling in the Master of Science in Biotechnology must undergo a qualification assessment, which consists of two phases:
- Applicants must request a qualification evaluation by accessing the University’s Online Services portal at http://delphi.uniroma2.it and following the instructions provided in the “Application Procedure for Visa Applicants” module.

Note: The application will be validated, and the documentation forwarded to the appropriate academic department for evaluation, ONLY UPON payment of the € 30 fee. A payment guide is available at PagoPA Tutorial.
Important: Applicants may request a preliminary evaluation of their curricular requirements even if they have not yet obtained their Bachelor’s degree. In this case, it is mandatory to specify in the scientific CV the expected graduation date and provide a complete list of all exams required for the degree, including those still to be taken. Applicants must obtain their degree by June 2025 to be eligible to apply on the Universitaly platform within the required timeframe.
- Candidates whose academic qualifications are deemed suitable will be invited to an online interview to assess their knowledge of the subjects considered fundamental for admission (refer to the Admission Requirements for details). Candidates will receive information about the interview via email at the address provided during registration on the University’s Online Services platform, Delphi.
The results of the evaluation process (assessment of curricular qualifications and academic preparation) will be available by accessing the University’s Online Services portal at http://delphi.uniroma2.it and following the procedure “Check Evaluation Outcome.”
Students who have received the letter of admission must complete the pre-enrollment application online through the Universitaly portal at the following link: https://www.universitaly.it.
Pre-enrollment procedures on this portal must be completed by 31 July 2025.
The completion of this application is mandatory to obtain a study visa from the Italian Embassy or Consulate in your country.
When filling out the application on the Universitaly portal, please indicate:
- The University of Rome Tor Vergata as your chosen university;
- The university course to which you have been admitted;
- The Embassy/Consulate where you will apply for the study visa.
Required Documents for Pre-Enrollment on Universitaly
Important Note:
It is strongly recommended to request the required documents for pre-enrollment on Universitaly well in advance to ensure they can be uploaded by the deadline.
The University will approve your pre-enrollment on Universitaly only after ALL required documents have been uploaded. Once approved, you may schedule an appointment with the Italian Embassy/Consulate in your country to complete the visa application process.
ENROLLMENT PROCEDURE UPON VISA APPROVAL:
Candidates must complete the enrollment process in person, between June 15, 2025, and January 15, 2026. Enrollment must be formalized at the Foreign Students Office, located at:

ITALIAN, EU, OR NON-EU CITIZENS LEGALLY RESIDING IN ITALY
Candidates must request the evaluation of their qualifications by accessing the University’s Online Services portal at http://delphi.uniroma2.it and following the procedure outlined in the module “Application Procedure for Non-Visa Applicants.”
For students with non-EU qualifications, the procedure includes both the evaluation of their qualifications and an online interview to assess their knowledge of the subjects considered essential for admission (see the admission requirements). Candidates will receive information about the online interview via email, sent to the address provided during registration in the University’s Online Services portal, Delphi.
All candidates can later verify the outcome of their evaluation by accessing the Online Services portal at http://delphi.uniroma2.it/ and following the procedure “Check Evaluation Outcome.”

ENROLLMENT AND DEADLINES
Enrollment is only possible after a positive evaluation confirming the fulfillment of the admission requirements. Students can follow the enrollment instructions provided at http://utov.it/immatricolazioni within the following timeframes:
- First and Second Rounds: From July 15, 2025 to January 15, 2026
- Third Round: From February 2, 2026 to April 15, 2026
Important Notes:
- Students requiring a visa can only enroll after completing the visa application process.
- Enrollment is not permitted beyond the deadlines listed above.
- At the time of enrollment, students must pay the first installment of €156.00, which includes the regional tax (€140.00) and stamp duty (€16.00).
International Students Legally Residing in Italy and Visa Applicants:
International students legally residing in Italy and those requiring a visa, holding a foreign qualification, must complete the enrollment procedure in person by the deadlines set in the call for applications. This must be done at the Foreign Students Office located at:
